On the morning of 22nd May, 2020, Anqing Foreign Language School held a special psychological lecture on psychological adjustment before the Senior High School Entrance Examination in the Lecture Hall entitled ‘Overcoming Anxiety and Going forward with Burdens Discarded’. The keynote speaker was Anqing Foreign Language School’s top teacher Xu Lihong, also the group leader of the Ethics and Rule of Law Teaching and Research Group. Nearly 600 teachers and students in Grade 9 attended the lecture. By means of effective and scientific test stress scale and plenty of vivid examples, Xu Lihong helped students recognize their own problems in combination with students’ family atmosphere before the Senior High School Entrance Exam and students’ psychological characteristics as well. Then, in a relaxed and interactive atmosphere, Xu Lihong taught students psychology knowledge, and strengthened their psychological adjustment ability in the meantime.
In brief, students benefited a lot from this lecture, many of whom felt relaxed and relieved after the informative lecture. They realized the significance of the mental health of middle school students, and enhanced psychological quality optimization before the Senior High School Entrance Exam so that they could learn and live positively and healthily in their home stretch for the Senior High School Entrance Examination.
